David Beckham for Armani
A South Korean child for Good-Nites
Who could forget David Beckham's Armani underwear ad? This ad campaign attracted a lot of attention, for obvious reasons. Hoping to piggy-back on its success, South Korean ad agency Diamond Ogilvy released a questionable ad for Good-Nites. The agency explains: "Children who are no longer using diapers can wear Good-Nites to prevent bed wetting. We show Good-Nites being worn as fashionable underwear to show children that Good-Nites aren't diapers."
Wow.
Since when is it important for children's underwear to be fashionable? And why did they think that imitating such a sexualized image and featuring a child in the ad would be a good idea?
Thoughts?
